Our client is a leader in their industry with many new projects on the table, and they provide a very competitive compensation package. They have multiple 18 month (to possible hire) contracts available which will bring your skills to the forefront of the industry. Your experience in engineering is urgently needed to develop embedded solutions in robotics, image processing, complex algorithms, GUI and application software.

Your responsibilities will include:
l Collaborating with electrical engineers, mechatronic engineers, and system engineers to define software requirements
l Completing software design documentation using UML, improving requirements traceability
l Participating in team reviews of software designs
l Implementing the design in C for existing modules and C++ for new modules
l Working closely with the team lead and software engineers to define, execute, and document unit and automated test cases in Python, Perl, or bash
l Participating in writing test reports, their final review, and immediate deployment to customers

You have excellent communication skills and are passionate about software engineering. You are comfortable in a variety of project management structures including Optimized Waterfall, Agile, and concurrent engineering. Being on the cutting edge of new technology, building your leadership resume, and seeing your code deploy days after approval motivates and inspires you.
You bring to the collaborative table:
l A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
l At least 2 years of U.S. Embedded Software Engineering experience as an Embedded Software, Systems, or Firmware Engineer.
l Excellent C or C++ knowledge
l A solid understanding of real-time operating systems
l A strong drive for quality with an affinity for collaboration and teamwork
It's a bonus if you have:
l Expertise in Python Scripting in a Linux/Unix Environment
