Technical Product Manager - Federal/US Government

Our client is a fast-growing technology firm in Fairfield County, CT, they are hiring a Technical Product Manager with experience selling products to the US Government, to add to their expanding team and product lines.
Job Summary:
The Technical Product manager will primarily be responsible for driving the day to day execution of product development and market introduction planning. Managing multiple product lines concurrently, this position in collaboration with the Director of Engineering and COO will define and manage product line evolution needed to achieve established objectives. The Technical Product Manager's day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating product activities cross functionally to ensure market success.
The Technical Product Manager will work closely with senior management to define product strategy and roadmaps and set product release objectives. Will contribute to future product planning by independently researching market requirements and translating the requirements into prioritized product features and functions for review and approval by senior management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
: Manage full product lifecycle including defining and executing go to market strategies, particularly expanding opportunities in the US Federal Government market.
: Develop detailed cross-functional plans for new products covering product definition through market introduction
: Work with cross functional team to manage development priorities and release schedules
: Prioritize product and platform enhancements based on business objectives and strategic initiatives
: Maintain and communicate product roadmaps
: Document and distribute updates to product functionality
: Manage the prioritization and resolution of customer escalation issues
: Researches, designs, plans, develops and/or evaluates new, advanced network technologies by translating customer requirements or strategic business objectives into final product design.
: Operate cross-functionally to represent the voice of the customer and collaborate with sales to deliver the optimal system for end user needs.

Qualifications

: 8+ years of software or hardware Product Management experience
: Solid Technology domain experience, preferably in networks / IT infrastructure / security
: Bachelor's degree required, advanced degrees preferred

: Proven ability to present to senior levels within various US Government agencies and departments
: Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends
: Experience managing the full lifecycle of multiple hardware and software products, from concept to delivery to EOL.
: Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
: Excellent organization skills
: Excellent analytical, research and problem solving skills
: Very strong presentation, and communication (oral and written) skills. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills a must.
: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing several product lines concurrently
