IT Service Catalog Manager - Long-term Consulting


Our client, a global Fortune-sized professional services company, seeks an experienced IT/Finance professional to develop an IT Service Catalog. This is a consulting position initially estimated at 6 months, but may be extended onto additional projects.

Duties: The IT Service Catalogue Manager will be responsible for building and maintain a service catalogue based on the full services that the client's global IT group provides to the subsidiaries and corporate functions. This is a self-directed position interfacing with the financial system, databases and technology staff as required. Primary focus will be on breaking down costs and repackaging to provide a holistic view of the service requested.
Responsibilities and Tasks
The IT service catalogue manager plans, implements and configures the inventory and standardized costing of available IT services:
-Design the processes to maintain the catalog on an operational basis including allocation methodology and system feeds
-Responsible for maintaining the Service Catalogue, ensuring that all information within the Service Catalogue is accurate and up-to-date
-Ensures that the Service Catalog is published in a timely manner with accurate information about operational services
-Generate reporting such that the appropriate views of the Service Catalog are provided to the right users; provide trend analysis
-Collaborate closely with IT management to present and review results
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline reporting
Management and Competencies
-Experience working with senior executives
-Experience of working in a Professional Services environment
-Experience in matrix management environment
-Strong problem solving and analytical skills
-Capable of strategic thinking and of moving strategic plans into action
-Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
-Ability to create and foster relationships with stakeholders and communicate at a senior level
Skills: Qualifications
-10 plus years of Financial experience in the Technology arena
-Understanding of Agile, Waterfall
-Financial reporting Actual Vs Budget
-Vendor costing
-Process / workflow documentation
-SAP financial system experience
-A/P vendor management
-Preparations of Executive presentations
-Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
-Ability to work in a global and virtual environment
-Attention to detail and pride in well-presented and accurate work
-Close attention to detail with the demonstrated ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a fast paced environment
Reporting lines and working environment
This role reports into the Director of Finance.
Location: Woodcliff Lake, NJ
Travel: 25% International travel expected

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
