Description

Responsibilities:
As the Dev/Ops Automation Lead, the incumbent will be responsible for the overall strategy and development of automated test frameworks that will be executed in projects implementing the company's Dev/Ops model.
: Core responsibilities include:

: Establishing a framework for the design, development, maintenance and execution of automated tests within a Dev/Ops model
: Identifying best practices in the design and development of Dev/Ops test automation
: Working with the QA Team, Service Customer and tool SME's to implement acceptable solutions for vendor/software related issues
: Preparing and updating documentations on Dev/Ops test automation strategy and operating guidelines
: Honing Dev/Ops test automation skills within the QA team
: Other responsibilities:
Being a champion for ensuring quality within all Application Platform products
: Identify and report issues related to quality
: Convene cross-functional groups for the development of action plans to address quality issues
: Manage resolution of issues
: Work closely & effectively with other internal teams
Build and maintain good vendor relationships:
: Establish and foster effective working relationships with software vendors as well as resource companies
: Lead regular meeting with the offshore resources to ensure they are well integrated with the overall teams and to provide guidance and direction
Manage QA testing for multiple projects/products concurrently
QA Team Management
: Provide guidance to test automation teams utilizing the Dev/Ops approach
: Define goals for the team and work with the team members in reaching the goals
Project Management
: Provide the QA manager and Project management with regular updates of status of test automation and execution
: Work closely with Business QA resources and all other pertinent project team resources
: Consult with project team to define and implement quality goals
: Provide clear deliverables to ensure the execution of best practices within all projects
: Liase with the QA test leads on the overall test management, defection resolution and dissemination of QA information
: Understand the business impact (technical/non-technical) to member firms/end-users and ensure testing addresses those impacts
Manage tools used in the various Dev/Ops processes
: Design and develop the strategy and implementation of test automation in a Dev/Ops model in relation to Life Cycle management tools such as VSTS and HP ALM
: Assess and drive a road map of related tools needed to support the above automated processes ties to VSTS and HP ALM using test driver tools such as Jenkins,
: Primary interactions:
: QA test team - to collaborate effectively on performing all related QA functions
: Solution /Functional team - to clearly understand and document the functionality and operations of business processes so as to enable timely development of automated test
: Engineering and infrastructure team - to ensure that acceptable infrastructure is in place with the required connectivity; backup and disaster recovery procedures are followed
: Preferred Experience:
: Seven to ten years experience in IS/IT. At least five years experience in quality assurance processes, methodologies and implementation.
: Minimum five years experience in automated testing tools and hands-on experience in Dev/Ops automated tests
: Minimum four years experience as administrator VSTS and/or with Quality Center
: Minimum four years experience with programming languages (i.e. SQL, VB, PERL or various shells)
: Good understanding of a professional services organization
: Skills:
: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
: Good tool solution and implementation skills
: Good tool integration skills
Skills/Qualifications: (Scale 1 to 5, Low to High)
Technical Qualifications: 1 2 3 4 5
: Degree in computer sciences
: >5 years of experience with various Test tools
: Experience with HP Quality Center
: Generalist in Microsoft Technologies (IIS, MS SQL, SharePoint, Exchange)
: Experience or Certification in Agile / Rapid Development Life Cycle methodologies .
