Our client, an industry-leading high-performance organization based in Norwalk, CT seeks a Database Manager to join the team in a new position created to make a strong impact on the team's success and efficiency.  

The company uses a SalesForce platform as it's key database to manage marketing and operational efforts.  The database manager will own this platform and be responsible to develop, enhance and supporting the CRM tool as well as organizational processes.  This position serves as a liaison between management and the users of the tool.  The Manager also troubleshoots and works with end-users to insure the application meets their needs and keeps pace with changes in program operations, policies and procedures.


Essential Functions:

  • Assist in development of a comprehensive database marketing program to help achieve company growth goals.

  • Oversee the daily operation of the SalesForce database.

  • Establish processes, deadlines, goals and objectives related to department and responsibilities.

  • Perform monthly reconciliations of SalesForce financial data with the client's General Ledger Financial System.

  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data, including input and output, technology management, and end-user training and support.

  • Provides support to staff by assisting with creation of reports and mailing lists, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and serving as the advancement liaison with finance and IT.

  • Coordinate and plan for future data conversions/upgrades as needed.

  • Develop and maintain efficient systems for data cleansing, data entry, prospect research, and relationship management.

  • Establish a strategy for data curation and sanitization.

  • Prepares users by conducting training; providing information; resolving problems. Provides information by answering questions and requests.

  • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our constituents.

  • Establish operational dashboards, metrics and benchmarks for the department and review with CFO and Director of Finance on a monthly basis.

  • Provide suggestions for process improvements to streamline the transactional and reporting standards

  • Provide weekly reports for development, marketing and Events

  • Establish database policies and procedures; run reports, develops import and export routines implement security measures; document procedures

  • Aptitude for the management and use of information systems in support of a marketing and development program.

  • Ability to manage others and work in a team environment (this position will have 2 direct reports initially, and will grow)

  • Excellent organization skills with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and a variety of demands.

  • Strong self-motivation and the ability to work as a team member.

  • Commitment to maintain confidentiality and a high degree of accuracy in database records.

  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both written and oral which transcend diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders

  • Critical thinker and problem solving capabilities with a high degree of integrity, ethics, and dedication to the client's mission

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Experience in managing a complex database, Salesforce a plus.

  • Experience in managing a database team

  • Detail-oriented, with strong process, organizational, analytical, and planning skills.

  • Understanding of sales, marketing, and ability to work with a high volume of transactions.

  • Salesforce Administrator Certificate a plus.
