Our direct client in New Haven, CT is seeking a strong Project Manager. In this role, you are overseeing multiple projects or one larger project on a global scale. They are involved in the development, updating and monitoring of business and action plans. They are responsible for all aspects of the project over the entire project lifecycle. In addition, they are responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, managing risks and dependencies, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of the project.

• Directs multiple small/medium projects or one larger project
• Responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing processes, which includes development of the scope of work, and management of budget, risks/issues, communications, project resources, scheduling, contracts and quality.
• Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters
• Continually updates relevant business stakeholder of project status
• Identify and manage all project dependencies across teams and functions
• Accountable for delivering projects on time and within scope and budget
• Develop and manage project schedules to plan and deliver to critical milestones
• Represent the project at project governance and inter-department forums
• Align projects to project methodology compliance standards set by the enterprise
• Partner with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria
• Assess and resolve all high priority project risks as they are encountered

Experience required:
• 5 to 8 years of work experience with a proven track record in the implementation and management of technology projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree (Project Management, Engineering, Business or related discipline) or equivalent experience
• PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification preferred
• Project management experience with international software development
• Strong project management, organization, and team collaboration skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Ability to work with external vendors
• Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment
• Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability
• Strong team leadership skills
• Strong knowledge of business objectives
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Sound business and technology acumen
• In depth understanding of project management concepts
