Business Process Analyst / Business Analyst - Risk Management Operations

For our direct client in Northern NJ, we have a long-term (12 mo +) contract opportunity for a Senior Business Process Analyst to take responsibility for definition of product features for systems used in the client's Risk Management Operations.   

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a deep understanding of a business process and/or product/application, ensuring business knowledge continuity with a view into integration across product portfolios
  • Define and author Business Requirements with the business and scope functionality for delivery based on business priorities, with an understanding and consideration of systems and data interdependencies.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a deep understanding of a business process and/or product/application, ensuring business knowledge continuity with a view into integration across product portfolios
  • Prioritize and validate the requirements backlog for future development throughout project lifecycle from business requirements gathering, development, quality assurance and UAT; clearly articulating requirements to development teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Risk Management/Independence senior leaders & stakeholders to understand business objectives and facilitate strategic process redesign sessions
  • Develop business justification documents that focus on capturing the current state processes to ensure an optimized future state is achieved with innovative process and tools, addressing current pain points and gaps.
  • Ownership of requirements management, release management and traceability of proposed functional and design requirements to business requirements, ensuring critical business needs are met
  • Provide frequent demos to the product/ application users, evaluate the quality of the product/ functionality being delivered, manage User Acceptance testing, triage and prioritize user feedback during UATs and take ownership of Change management requirements including any documentation, i.e., training guides, quick reference guides  FAQs etc.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of eight years of business analysis experience; preferably from a professional services firm
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Strong quantitative and analytical writing and communication skills
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team with the ability to communicate across various levels of management
  • Business Process Management experience is preferred
  • US Citizenship required
