Data Analyst – Hybrid:
Our direct client, based in White Plains NY, is seeking a Data Analyst.  In this role, you will be supporting the development and use of data in client’s AWS Data Lake and Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse.  You will build SQL queries for data analysis, validation, testing, and reporting activities.  The position will work collaboratively with a team of data engineers and data architects to support the development of data pipelines, data marts and reports.  We are seeking a talented individual with experience working in a matrix IT organization to deliver enterprise class software projects in a fast-paced environment.  Hybrid working model, 3 days per week on site is expected.
Responsibilities:

  • Perform analysis on new data being added to the DW to understand how to integrate with existing data and identify data issues
  • Analyze and identify data discrepancies within the Cloud DW and work with development team on resolution
  • Develop data quality validations to ensure data accuracy and proactively identify data issues
  • Ensure that data governance standards are adhered to within the data warehouse
  • Support business users on data warehouse knowledge and query assistance
  • Develop queries to analyze data based on business requirements
  • Collaborate with business teams to advance usage of the data warehouse across the business

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-10 years of experience developing in SQL
  • Good understanding of Data Warehouse architecture and design and ETL processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle
  • Experience with cloud-based (AWS and Azure) database systems and environments
