Global Deployments Lead – REMOTE – Long-term Contract

Our direct client, a global professional services firm, is developing a new mission-critical risk-management application that they will deploy to it's offices around the world.  We seek a senior consultant to lead the global deployment, for successful rollout, deployment and adoption of the new applications.  In this role, the Global Deployments Lead will support a cross functional transformation initiative to improve the consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness of use of this application globally.  The Global Deployments Lead will be responsible for developing and executing a global implementation deployment strategy and will drive the enablement of the new technology platform across the network to all global offices.

This position can be done remotely in the US, primarily East Coast hours with 20% travel (paid) to various international office locations. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Define the strategy and approach for a technology platform deployment to all global offices, including identification of global, regional, local responsibilities and actions
  • Lead the detailed deployment workplan and work with Program Management Office team and Program Communications team to align dates and dependencies across workstreams
  • Drive the implementation of the technology deployment plan, including work planning, scheduling, metrics, training, pilots, and building program deployment team with right level of resources
  • Work closely with the technology workstream leads to ensure alignment and dependencies and impacts are managed across the program
  • Provide leadership and direction to teams who are responsible for mobilizing and preparing the global offices for onboarding, managing the transition and validation to the new platform, and provide post-Production support (hypercare)
  • Understand the different functions within the businesses and ensure the deployment plan considers any nuances and/or disruptions in normal business operations that need to be accounted for
  • Contribute to and oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive, integrated change management strategy

 

Experience & knowledge

  • Minimum 15 years of professional services experience, preferably with global or top-tier consulting services, driving large-scale transformation initiatives
  • Experience with global technology deployment, working on large scale technology implementation spanning cloud and on prem applications, is a must
  • Managed teams in various geographic locations with a proven track record of completing quality projects on time and within budget
  • Experience and knowledge of organizational change and transformation management projects and tools
  • Familiarity with SaaS based application deployments and cutover methodology
  • Ability to think strategically and provide program management across multiple complex initiatives
  • Ability to manage by influence within and across various IT and business functions
  • Experience facilitating diverse stakeholders around complex issues
  • Project Management, Agile/Scrum, or SAFe experience and certification is a plus

  • Organized with strong business acumen and analytical skills; ability to synthesize and distill information into recommendations
  • Strong trouble-shooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to participate in resource planning processes based on defined organizational plans
  • Agility and ability to adapt to changing priorities in fast paced environment
  • Creative thinker and problem solver, able to objectively and effectively guide complex problems to resolution
  • Able to interface with all levels of the organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
