IT Operational – Control & Monitoring Analyst - Long Term Contract - Hybrid

For our direct client, we seek a professional experienced with IT audit and controls, for a long–term (12-36 month) contract working with a large software application development and global support organization, supporting a mission-critical application globally.   In this role, the consultant will assist in the development of key operational asset documentation, compliance monitoring and coordinating annual SOC Auditing activities, supporting IT Operational Sustainability team functional requirements.  Specifically:

  • Coordinate with key stakeholders readiness for annual SOC audits and requirements by Auditors and Global Risk Management
  • Document standard operation procedures (SOPs) using approved SOP template for IT Support Service Org 
    • Work includes documenting and vetting underlying processes, creation of process flows, (Visio and other MSFT Tools) shared by key stakeholders
    • Drafting and versioning SOP including managing edits, adding links to critical source systems of record and testing linkages; circulating draft versions among key stakeholder reviewers team, gaining stakeholder approvals
    • Creation of central library/repository for Organizational Documentation (approved versions of SOPs. Teams site/channel, SPO)
    • Support the design and build-out of Support Services Organizational Taxonomy Operating Model
    • Creation of Onboarding and knowledge management packets
  • Document Requirement Gathering Documents/ Specification (e.g. Package) with underlying report(s) detail including format, configuration, data elements, etc. using approved Report specification template.

This is a hybrid position, with 2 days work-from-home and Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday normally onsite in the company’s Montvale, NJ location.  

Skills and experience desired:   A successful candidate has +7 years’ experience, including:

  • Document formal Standard Operating Procedures
  • Understanding of IT Operations
  • Experience in Processes Mapping – interview/survey process stakeholders, document draft operational process maps, vet to finalize
  • Knowledge and Change Management –  best practices approach to collect, author, maintain, and release critical operations informational assets across the stakeholder community (includes Communication)
  • Preferred: Experience in working in IT Operational Sustainability organizations including awareness of SOC Audits, DR and Controls governance practices
  • Tools/Skills:
    • Self-motivated,  independent executor of assignments with basic guidance (organized and structured)
    • Collaborative team member, works well with others
    • Schedules meetings and follow-ups to bring work to approved closure (minutes, action items, etc)
    • Technical documents authoring
    • MS Office tools + Visio Professional
    • Information Technology infrastructure and methodologies including but not limited to typical systems (PaaS, SaaS, applications, software development lifecycle (SDLC))
