IT Project Coordinator - REMOTE

Our direct client, a global professional services company, seeks an experienced IT Project Coordinator to work with their IT Security team.   In this role you will continue to build your IT Project Coordination/Project Management skills and gain experience working with a truly global company with complex IT infrastructure, projects, and processes.  This is a REMOTE position, working on East Coast time, long-term contract (12-36 months), with potential for contract-to-hire.  This is an immediate hire position, send resume today!  

This role will be responsible for:
– updating Process tracking documentation
– providing project management support for technology pilots, new technology deployments, large group initiatives and process improvements
– Leading small project teams
 – Planning and controlling project resources and activities
– Gathering support information used for prioritizing project activities
– Manage costs, schedule, scope and quality of the project delivery
– Communicating project status and activity updates to stakeholders
– Participating on process teams

Skills and Experience desired:
– Experience working with scheduling and project management software systems and applications
– Experience managing resources, budgets and expenses
– Experience coordinating multiple concurrent project schedules
– Experience supporting cross-functional teams
– Some knowledge of ITIL standards and IT Security compliance standards and practices is a plus
– Lean Six Sigma and/or PMI certifications/accreditation a strong plus
– Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Experience with Microsoft Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access with similar computer skills overall strongly preferred.
– Minimum three years of work experience

Responsibilities, Percentage of time:
 

20%

Follow-up for Plan of Action & Milestone items (POA&M) and Authority to Operate items (ATO) on a regular basis

20%

Obtain evidence of remediation, document, and route to the appropriate Security Analyst for review and approval on a regular schedule

15%

Provide general administrative support within Solution Review, as needed

10%

Update ATO and Security Assessment Report (SAR) tracker each time a SAR/ATO is published

15%

Update Solution Review projects as needed

10%

Archiving old Security Assessment Reports (SARs) and other documents

10%

Maintain ATO calendaring, as needed
