IT Project Manager - Long-term contract - REMOTE

Our Direct Client in Northern NJ, a premier global firm, seeks an experienced Technology and Business Process Project Manager with at least 5 years' experience to join the team immediately, on a long-term (12-36 months) contract basis.

**Remote** This position can be done on a remote basis, meetings take place on Eastern Time-zone often with European stakeholders, some early- AM meetings are to be expected. 
 

Role Description:

  • Developing strong, trusting, and credible relationships with key Global stakeholders and project team members.
  • Translating business requirements into project deliverables.
  • Day-to-day management of assigned projects, including taking the project forward from appointment, supervising and closing the project, also including:
    • Being the day-to-day person responsible, on behalf of IT Management team, for the successful delivery of specific program workstreams.
    • Effective co-ordination project activities and their interdependencies.
    • Managing and resolving any risks and other issues that may arise.
    • Managing the workstream budget, monitoring the expenditure and costs against benefits that are realized as the program progresses.
    • Maintaining an end to end project plan.
    • Ensuring maximum efficiency in the allocation of resources and skills.
    • Managing communications with stakeholders.
    • Reporting progress of the project at regular intervals.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in delivering projects.
  • Demonstrable project management expertise with experience of having delivered several large and complex projects from conception to closure.
  • Ability to work positively with the full range of individuals and groups involved in the program.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience at all levels.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Necessary seniority to be able to take on the responsibilities required of the role.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Being able to understand the wider objectives of the Technology Management group and the program.
  • Credibility within the project environment and ability to influence others.
  • Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programs, including risk management.
  • Good knowledge of project management approaches and methodologies (strong understanding and applicable experience in delivering both Agile and Waterfall projects).
  • Good knowledge of budgeting.
  • Ability to find innovative ways of solving or pre-empting problems.
  • Driven and enthusiastic with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a strong sense of ownership to get the job done in a practical and pragmatic fashion without upsetting others.
  • Proven written and oral communications skills and strong interpersonal skills that can be executed credibly to inspire confidence in you and the delivery of the project.
