Product Marketing Manager

Our direct client, a Growing Cyber Security solutions firm in Danbury, CT is seeking a Product Marketing Manager for immediate hire!

In this role, you will be testing and validating the value proposition for early stage product concepts, doing competitive analysis, understanding how to position the products in specific vertical markets and creating content that supports the product positioning. You will need the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into value propositions. You will work closely with the Director of Business Development and the Business Development team to understand the vertical markets they are developing and the value propositions that resonate with their target markets and become an expert in understanding the key decision makers and influencers, how they buy and their buying criteria in order to develop relevant content and test new business solutions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•   Work with business development market leads to identify and clearly communicate the value proposition for early-stage solution concepts

• Develop content to support new business solution positioning

• Function as a Subject Matter Expert and thought leader on the products (post blogs, host webinars, develop presentations)

• Support vertical market business development leads in creating white papers, uses cases & articles, web and social media content

• Design and deploy market tests to validate early-stage business concepts and solicit feedback from prospective clients

• Business Development enablement – communicate the value proposition of the products to the Biz Dev team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of products in new target markets

• Product launch – plan the marketing launch of new products as they mature from initial concept into a full-scale solution

• Market intelligence – be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to crush them

• Demand generation – develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for your products

 

Qualifications
             
             • 5+ years of software or hardware product marketing                                 experience

• 2 years experience working directly with customers is highly desirable (trade shows, customer meetings, user groups, focus groups, etc.)

• Expertise and experience in at least one of the following markets: Financial Services, Healthcare, Industrial Automation

• Experience in communicating and validating early-stage business concepts and applying a lean approach to new product introduction

• Bachelor’s in business or marketing

Very strong written communication skills and research skills

• Willing to travel 25%
