Project Manager - Oracle ERP: Hybrid

Project Manager Oracle ERP – Hybrid:  
Our direct client in Northern New Haven County, an international manufacturer and distributor of consumer products is looking a Project Manager of Global ERP, you will be responsible for the day to day project management of strategic Oracle ERP implementations. This position will utilize the industry best practices of project management and technical expertise within the scope of the Oracle Applications to drive new location implementations in the organization. The Project Manager will also be required to provide technical guidance in Design, Architect, Estimate and Scoping new strategic initiatives. Effective collaboration with business users, and external vendors will be required to understand business needs and requirements. Effective collaboration with offshore IT members and external consultants is a MUST for this position.

  • Project management of approved and upcoming demands based upon availability of resources and business criticality
  • Work with business leaders to understand the business needs and prioritize requests and projects
  • Translate user requests into efficient technology solutions
  • Responsible to ensure that all system changes are developed according to the SDLC
  • Provide project management skills and/or leadership in support for strategic initiatives
  • Consideration of global impact when developing solutions
  • Plan, develop, and monitor capabilities of team members, providing constructive feedback and mentoring during project management


  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of working experience in an IT environment with 1+ years of Lead Analyst/PM experience
  • Programming Skills (Oracle PL/SQL)
  • Knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle 9i/10G/11G) and ERP Oracle EBS 11i/R12
  • Good understanding of Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, Unix)
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Developer Tools (Oracle Forms & Reports, JDeveloper, SQL Developer, SQL Navigator, Toad, Discoverer, Workflow, BI Publisher), MS Office Tools and MS Projects
  • Requires a full working knowledge of IT and Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Human Resources business practices and procedures in a professional field
  • Leadership and facilitation skills to IT and Business users in the effective use of applications, information technology resources, and delivery of projects and strategic meetings
