SAP FI/CO Techno-Functional Consultant – Long Term

For our direct client in Northern NJ, we seek an experienced SAP FI/CO Techno-Functional consultant to provide Application Support and Client Support.  This is a long-term (12 months + project), requiring 3 days/week onsite (Tues/Wed/Thurs) and 2 days WFH (Monday + Friday) 

In this role,  the consultant will provide support to customers around the globe who are using the client's custom ABAP application, which imports and analyzes client data from external clients' SAP FI/CO files, which then undergo further analysis in the application.  In addition, the consultant will assist in continued development and testing of application enhancements.  We need a combination of solid SAP FI/CO technical knowledge and a strong support mindset and communication skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting defects on the FI Data extraction ABAP tool 
• Developing unit test plans, test cases and performing unit test plans on developed code and documenting results.
• Fine-tuning SQL queries by forcing index usage to increase performance of the application.
• Gathering requirements and designing functional specifications for enhancements and customized report developments and continual improvement.

Experience desired:

• 5+ years' experience as a Techno-Functional consultant with SAP FI/CO
• Expertise in ST22 Dump analysis.
• Familiarity with writing queries in Microsoft SQL server.
• Experience with Job Scheduling and job analysis
• Strong experience interacting with users, developers, and analysts to understand and identify requirements and preparing technical specifications.
• Improving performance by running traces through ST12 and fine-tuning code.
• Expertise with Extended Syntax checks, Runtime Analysis, Code Inspector, SQL Trace – ST12 and debugging (using Checkpoints), STAD, SCI and ATC Checks (ABAP Test Cockpit).
