Software QA Manager - Long-term Hybrid Contract

For our direct client in Northern NJ, we are seeking a QA/UAT Manager, to join the Global Software Team, on a long-term (12-36 months) basis. 

Note this is a hybrid position located in Montvale, NJ – Monday and Friday are work from home, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are in the office (flexible hours).  

We seek candidates with strong interpersonal skills to communicate with vendors and stakeholders, and experience in QA and/or BA/UAT roles, preferably with some financial software.  Any other accounting or financial background is helpful.  

Responsibilities: 
: Responsible for ensuring that all quality assurance related artifacts are accurate, complete, and understandable based on the client's standards and processes. This includes the following:

: Defects, Requirements, and Tests entered in MS ADO Azure DevOps  (other tool experience such as HP ALM is acceptable) 
: Various quality assurance documents such as Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Designs, Requirement Traceability Matrix, Excel or Word based Test Scripts, etc.

: Become a Subject Matter Expert on a suite of products to ensure that testing performed throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process is performed efficiently and effectively looking for areas of improvement and reduction of duplication to ensure greater coverage within aggressive timelines.
: Assist the onshore vendor's QA Lead or Business Product Lead, where necessary, in order for testing milestones to be met (not afraid to roll up your sleeves and work to get things accomplished).
: Be a champion for helping to ensure quality and consistency in project execution
: Work with the team, peers and management to implement test approaches that support the overall business and technology
: Liaise with other teams (e.g. Business Analysis, Development, Business) to improve quality in all phases of the SDLC.

Qualifications:
: 5-8 years of experience of experience in Quality Assurance – preferably working on the following types of applications:

: Accounting Software (SAP, PeopleSoft Financials, Oracle Financial Management) exposure is a plus
: Auditing Systems/Tools (Big 4 tools would be a plus)
: SharePoint
: Portals

: Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required; MBA or Master's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Programming from an accredited college/university is strongly preferred
: Accounting and/or Audit background/experience
: Strong understanding of Automated and Data Driven Testing approaches – with experience testing custom Data Analytics solutions
: In-depth knowledge of Agile or other Rapid application development methodologies – with experience with automated testing (e.g. Test Complete) and SDLC tools (e.g.Azure DevOps (ADO),  Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, HP Application Lifecycle Management)
: Experience with WhiteBox Testing Tools (e.g. SQL and scripting such as PowerShell, VB script, PERL, JavaScript) is a nice to have
: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio Expertise
: Experience in managing and working with globally distributed teams and outsourced vendors.
: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact and influence at the Executive level, bridging the gap between technology and business
