UX Architect - Hybrid

UX Architect – Hybrid:

Our direct client, a fast-growing fintech firm, is seeking a highly motivated UX Architect to conceptualize and enhance features for their online FinTech product, employing user experience research, competitive analysis, workflow, and interaction design skills to achieve a simple, highly usable experience. The ideal candidate understands the overlap of these four design areas well and embraces a user-centered design process. They recognize strong UX, and value collaboration and problem solving. This hire would remain at the forefront of new digital trends and UX best practices to help optimize the client experience, increase product adoption, and scale growth.

This is a hybrid working model, candidate is expected to have the ability to work on site 3 or 4 days per week.  The work location can be in: NYC, Greenwich, CT, Princeton, NJ or Boston. 

Work samples will be required during the interview process.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design new product features and enhancements for firm’s flagship platform and white label solutions
  • Lead a team of UX designers in developing highly usable design solutions
  • See the platform in its entirety in order to create logical information architecture decisions
  • Create wireframes and prototypes using the Lean UX methodology to solve business needs and problems
  • Proactively suggest improvements to the platform, not only in reaction to request
  • Rely on qualitative and quantitative data to drive design decisions
  • Work closely and autonomously with developers and product managers to test and review online product enhancements to ensure flawless execution
  • Contribute to maintenance of the firm’s design system and Figma wireframe component library
  • Manage multiple concurrent requests and requirements
  • Step outside the design realm when appropriate to contribute to the team and overall company mission
  • Plan, coordinate and moderate user research activities throughout all phases of design

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA or BFA) with 10+ years’ experience solving design challenges using user-centered design best practices.
  • Experience leading teams, including performance management, hiring, coaching and mentoring
  • Strong UX skills, including user research and information architecture, and workflow design
  • Solid understanding of major design applications specifically Figma
  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up sleeves and get the job done
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; proven ability to influence and communicate effectively
  • Experience in FinTech and familiarity with product internationalization and WCAG guidelines are preferred
  • Experience working with Google Analytics and Tag Manager a plus
