Contracts / Procurement Consultant - Schrems - Long-term Contract

For our direct client, a global firm located in Northern New Jersey, we seek an experienced Contracts Administrator for an immediate opening.  this is a 6-month contract position with likely extension beyond.   This position can be done remotely, on East Coast hours.

Experience Desired

  • Seeking 6-10 years’ experience ideally within a professional services or other large international consulting entity in contracts and supplier management role, strong English communication skills (oral and written)
  • Knowledge and active use of Sharepoint, MS Office tools, Docusign. Good SaaS based contract management system knowledge (Coupa is preferred)
  • Need some negotiation experience and strength in communications, to communicate very very well with the global supplier base. 
  • Soft skills: maintains confidentiality, customer focused, detailed orientation, adaptable, sound business decision making
  • Demonstrated IT / Privacy background, strong supplier engagement and contract negotiation and management skills including influencing skills (to push back on supplier requests for contract customization)

Duties:

Consultant will work on the Schrems II Supply Chain initiative for an initial 6 month period (extension possible), with the following key responsibilities:

  • Working with the company's suppliers to update their contractual obligations,  to ensure that all of the suppliers are able to abide by Schrems compliance documents.  This refers specifically to a contract templates called "Data Protection Addendum" and "Information Security Addendum." –
  • Reach out to the suppliers to explain contract changes and have them sign on to an online policy portal where those changes are reflected. –
  • The role of the contract manager will be to engage suppliers according to the prescribed process.  Explain to suppliers what the Scherms 2 privacy rulings are about. Ensure that reporting and documentation is completed appropriately.

  • Attends training, meetings and calls as may be directed by the Schrems Delivery manager or Director, Strategic Initiatives to support Supply Chain program objectives
  • Coordinates with Operations, Negotiations and related Schrems project team members (such as legal, information protection group, and business stakeholders of relevant agreements) on supplier communications, negotiations, issues and reporting as may be required
  • Initiates supplier discussions in support of contract remediation activities and negotiates with suppliers utilizing client's playbooks for supplier interactions
  • Maintains all correspondence with suppliers in orderly fashion and in designated reporting and archive tools
  • Undertakes research and performs impact / contract gap analysis as may be needed to optimize client's negotiating position
  • Tracks sent / delivery details and updates supplier contact information as needed
  • Responds to queries from internal network and suppliers about Supply Chain efforts related to Schrems remediation
  • Ensures client's Global procurement standards are maintained in all interactions with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Supports Schrems Supply Chain team members with administrative functions, reporting, issue management and escalations as may be needed.
  • Provides regular updates to the Schrems Delivery Manager and as needed, related project and steering committee members
  • Any other tasks as requested or required to successfully achieve the outcome of the Supply Chain Working Group Scope
   
Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
