Position Title: Business Process Integration Analyst

Position Overview

We have an immediate opening for a long term consulting position for a Business Process Integration Analyst for a large, global client of ours. Candidates must reside in either the Eastern or Central times zones and will be remote.

This is a key role responsible for supporting the development of integrated business processes across the Operations and Business Functions delivery streams. This position has a critical responsibility in helping drive IT and OT convergence and ensure the realization vertical integration and Operational Excellence strategies. This position’s primary function is to maintain Business Process Mapping standards and document selected End-to-End (E2E) scenarios under the guidance of the Business Process Integration Manager. The role will work closely with program Partners and other 3rd parties ensuring the E2E scenarios are consistent with detailed business processes developed by the Delivery Streams under the respective Business Process Integration (BPI) Leads. The candidate will report to the project Manager who has overall accountability for aligning Business Process Modelling efforts across the program.

The successful candidate will:

  • Report to Business Process Integration Manager collaborating with the BPI Leads and the respective Business Analysts in the Business Functions and Operations delivery streams
  • Contributes to the development of BA and BPM standards
  • Develops high level “end-to-end” scenarios that tell a simple story of how future state systems knit-together transforming the business taking input from the Application Architect and the respective BPI Leads
  • Maintains the Business Process Hierarchy ensuring controlled updates in line with changes proposed through the development lifecycle
  • Performs detailed analysis to expose OT/IT process integration points with focus on business processes gaps and overlaps in key areas such as such as material management, production and maintenance planning and scheduling, work order management, asset management, product quality, reconciliation, and product costing
  • Ensures all process and procedural standards meet Operational Excellence requirements
  • Champions the use of the Enterprise Architecture Tool (Orbus iServer) within Business Analysts community to define and document business process models and associated Business Architecture artefacts
  • Performs analysis to support resolution of business process gaps, overlaps, and/or disparities eliminating any design conflicts or omissions across Business and Operations streams
  • Perform selected QA reviews on business process artifacts developed to ensure compliance to standards and integration across various functions and alignment to the overarching Reference Architecture
  • Identification and logging of business process integration points that will need to be addressed or resolved in future business process map developments with other business analysts under the coordination of their respective Business Process Integration Lead
  • In collaboration with the Architecture Office, ensures the development of Business Architecture integrates with Application, Information and Technical Architecture models all mastered in the Enterprise Architecture tool
  • Contribute to the definition of the Reference Architecture across various functional clusters ensuring consistency with the “end-to-end” scenarios

Skills and Qualifications

A candidate that we would love would be:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience developing BPMN models and process flow diagrams
  • Performed a Business Analyst role on at least one major transformation programs ideally involving both ERP and MES (Manufacturing Execution) Systems
  • Successfully executed business process modelling on a project with complex system integrations
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Has an eye for detail
  • Hands on experience in a manufacturing industry
  • An understanding of Business Process Modelling standards, frameworks and methodologies including design thinking and agile methods
  • Ability to identify gaps or shortcomings in business process or system functional requirements generated in workshops and responding to these to ensure clarity and agreement is obtained in an efficient and collaborative way
  • Ability to holistically view business processes in order to identify potential integration points or areas that require further discussion or deeper definition

 

Essential Skills:

    • Business Skills:
      • Experience with business strategy development, organization design and change management
      • Subject matter expertise across associated operational (maintenance, manufacturing, production, HSE) and business support functions (HR, Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance) – highly desirable
      • Ability to form a bridge between business and technical stakeholders
      • A strong tendency to “seek to understand” and simplify complex topics in to well structured and simple to follow diagrams
    • Technical and Information Skills:
      • Formal training and qualifications in business analysis methods (e.g. Six Sigma, BPMN)
      • Awareness of digital and emerging technologies and implications on business automation and process efficiencies
      • Experience with SAP or other ERP implementations (preferable)
      • Applying lean and agile methods
      • Exposure to Enterprise Architecture frameworks and practices (e.g. TOGAF) – preferred
      • Use of various Process Mapping or Enterprise Architecture Tools (Orbus iServer highly desirable)
