Desktop Support Analyst

Our Direct Client located in Downtown Stamford is looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to join a growing International team of IT professionals. While this role is based in Stamford, you will be working on a global environment in frequent communication with international offices. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Microsoft desktop/server environments, HP desktop & server hardware, IOS/Android OS phones and printers. There will be a healthy blend of support and project based work.

Candidates will be joining an experienced follow the sun support team in our clients Stamford office so both teamwork and communication skills will be paramount. Candidates should have some experience working in the Financial Services domain. Our client offers a generous Benefits plan and competitive bonus potential.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to troubleshoot/maintain PC hardware
  • Escalate hardware problems to manufacturer/vendors
  • Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7/10
  • Troubleshoot Office 2013
  • Printer support (Hardware & server)
  • Windows Server 2010 support
  • Active Directory user administration
  • Experience in building and deploying PCs. WDS.
  • Expected to move computer equipment around the office
  • Understand NTFS & Share permissions
  • IOS/Android device support, MDM administration
  • Good understanding of networking infrastructure
  • Weekend/out of hours working when necessary
  • Exposure to front office Financial Services

Soft Skills:

  • Team player with excellent consultative and communication skills, and the proven ability to work effectively with management and staff, vendors and consultants
  • Ability to work independently to meet goals and objectives with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem solving and time management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, responding to critical requests calmly and efficiently

Desirable Skills:

  • Bloomberg experience
  • Reuters experience


  • 3 – 5 years professional experience
  • Bachelor's degree desirable
  • Microsoft or Cisco certifications desirable
