SQL Server Developer – Hybrid:

Our direct client, a fast-growing medical technology company based in Danbury, CT is seeking multiple SQL Server Developers due to the business growth.   The client is creating multiple IT Solution Teams each of which will be focused on delivering a complete IT solution to a given business area or problem.  And this delivery will be iterative and agile.
The candidate will work a hybrid schedule, coming a few times a week to the office, however, we will also consider fully remote candidates who can commit to visiting the office at least once a month. We want someone who is a team player, can communicate well, has an up-beat, can-do attitude and is passionate about their work.
Responsibilities:

• Develop & maintain database applications through, Stored Procedures, T-SQL, tables, SQL queries, triggers, views, etc. using Microsoft SQL Server (2016 and above) on Azure.
• Query development / tuning / indexing, analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
• Data analysis/data profiling to understand gaps, inconsistencies and other quality issues in existing source system data, and develop data sourcing solutions, as well as collaborating with stakeholders to identify, document and implement corrections/business rules/workarounds
• Generate defined reports, as well as ad-hoc reports.
• Maintain and enhance an internally developed ETL process that serves to standardize data coming from disparate systems and in a variety for formats.
• Provide guidance and support to application developers.
• Monitor and analyze query, database, and system performance – propose and implement solutions.
• Construct and maintain documentation.
• Commitment to continual self-improvement and professional development.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of strong SQL development experience.
• Strong relational database design skills
• Proficiency with BI development tools (SSRS, SSIS or PowerBI).
• Passion for exciting, early-stage experience in an exciting business with great potential.
• Positive and solution-oriented mindset, self-motivated and self-managing attributes.
• Experience working in a cloud environment is a plus.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively to other team members.
