Senior Business Analyst - Long Term Contract
Senior Business Analyst
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a leading global organization, partnering closely with business process leads and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business needs, requirements, and key decisions. This role is instrumental in translating those requirements into practical solution options and functional designs, while evaluating impacts across end-to-end processes and system integrations.
The Business Analyst will work cross-functionally with Agile teams, development, QA/testing, and business stakeholders to refine requirements, clarify system functionality, and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle. The role also involves preparing and maintaining core analysis deliverables, including use cases, process flows, prototypes or storyboards, report mockups, data conversion specifications, and detailed functional documentation.
In addition to supporting project delivery, this individual will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by conducting root cause analysis, identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, and ensuring traceability from requirements through testing by reviewing and validating test cases and scripts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferably in a software development or related discipline)
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience working with ServiceNow, databases/SQL, and APIs or system integrations
- Business Analyst certification is a plus
This role requires candidates to be local to the Montvale, NJ area, with the ability to attend occasional onsite meetings.
