UI/UX Designer Consultant – Hybrid:
Our direct client, a fast-growing medical technology company based in Danbury, CT is seeking a talented and experienced UX/UI Designer consultant to assist them with greenfield business application(s) development effort. As a UX/UI Designer, you will be responsible for creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for their web and mobile (in the future) applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and marketers to translate user needs and business requirements into elegant design solutions.
Working in the client’s Danbury office a few times a month is required.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand user requirements and business objectives.
- Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas and interactions effectively.
- Develop user personas, user flows, and journey maps to guide the design process.
- Implement responsive design principles to ensure optimal user experiences across various devices and screen sizes.
- Work closely with developers to ensure the feasibility of design implementations and to maintain design consistency throughout the development process.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders, usability testing, and data analysis.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX/UI design.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
- 5+ of experience in UX/UI design for web and mobile applications.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and best practices.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Online portfolio showcasing previous design projects and process.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines.
- Experience designing for enterprise software applications.
