UI/UX Designer Consultant – Hybrid:

Our direct client, a fast-growing medical technology company based in Danbury, CT is seeking a talented and experienced UX/UI Designer consultant to assist them with greenfield business application(s) development effort. As a UX/UI Designer, you will be responsible for creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for their web and mobile (in the future) applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and marketers to translate user needs and business requirements into elegant design solutions.
Working in the client’s Danbury office a few times a month is required.
Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand user requirements and business objectives.
  • Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas and interactions effectively.
  • Develop user personas, user flows, and journey maps to guide the design process.
  • Implement responsive design principles to ensure optimal user experiences across various devices and screen sizes.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure the feasibility of design implementations and to maintain design consistency throughout the development process.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders, usability testing, and data analysis.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX/UI design.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
  • 5+ of experience in UX/UI design for web and mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and best practices.
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Online portfolio showcasing previous design projects and process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines.
  • Experience designing for enterprise software applications.
